Ted Bartlett

General Manager and Chief Operating Officer

A native of King George, Va., Bartlett is a graduate of Virginia Tech University with a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management. He has also received certifications from the Club Managers Association of America, the Community Associations Institute and the American Sommelier Association. In total, Bartlett has more than 16 years of club management experience, including serving as director of operations for Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. and as general manager for Hermitage County Club in Richmond, Va.

Silvia Lalinde

Director of Marketing & Membership

Silvia Lalinde serves as the director of marketing and membership for the Dataw Island Club where she develops and implements programs, projects and activities designed to increase and retain membership in the club and keep staff informed of membership issues. She is also responsible for selling memberships of all categories and working with the general manager, membership committee and all department heads for the greater good of all Dataw members. In this position, Lalinde responds to owner and guest questions and requests, helps with the formal orientation of new members and promotes related programs, in addition to assisting with the annual publication of the membership directory. Lalinde is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor of science degree in environmental science. Prior to joining the Dataw Island Club, she worked with the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Professional Club Marketing Association (PCMA) and serves as the local chapter president. Lalinde has also been recognized as a Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) and was featured in the May 2006 issue of Club & Resort Business Magazine in the article “Women Make Their Mark.”
