The first par 5 on Cotton Dike plays longer than the yardage. The hole is a dogleg right and the fairway in the driving area slopes to the left. In addition two large fairway bunkers guard the driving area on the right. Overhanging oaks also guard the corner of the dogleg. Once around the corner you have a straight shot into a well bunkered and very undulating green. The wind can pick up and surprise you when you turn the corner for your second and third shots.
