Dataw Island Club Welcomes Koll Farman as Assistant Golf Professional

Dataw Island Club representatives have announced that Koll Farman has been hired as an Assistant Golf Professional. Farman is a Class A PGA Professional and will assist the club with tournament operations, group and individual instruction, golf shop management and outside services. Farman arrived at Dataw Island Club after serving the last four years as the general manager at Crowfield Golf and Country Club in Goose Creek, S.C.

Farman is a Seattle, Wash. native and has 17 years of experience in the golf industry, mostly in the Carolinas. His accomplishments include being named assistant golf professional of year in 2004 and player of the year in 2003 by the Hilton Head Island PGA Chapter. He was also a member of the Palmetto Cup team for the South Carolina PGA Chapter from 2003 through 2005. As general manager at Crowfield Golf and Country Club, Farman oversaw an annual budget exceeding $2 million.

“We are very excited to add Koll to our very talented golf professional staff,” said Dave Britton, head golf professional of the Dataw Island Club. “He has an enormous amount of valuable experience and will be a tremendous asset to our club. Our members will enjoy learning more about the game from him because of his wealth of knowledge in golf instruction and tournament operations.”

Dataw Island provides residents with two world-class golf courses – Tom Fazio’s Cotton Dike design and the Arthur Hills’ Morgan River Signature Course.
