Dataw Island announces new membership program

DATAW ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA – The board of directors of the Dataw Island Club have announced a new membership category called Vacation Membership Program. It is designed to allow potential future residents to join the Dataw Island Club and enjoy their membership while vacationing at Dataw. This membership category is tailored for individuals or couples whose primary residence is 50 miles or greater from Dataw Island. It provides a unique opportunity for people to enjoy the Dataw Island Club and all of its membership privileges while they vacation at Dataw. The membership benefits include; 30 rounds of golf per year, complimentary swing analysis with a Club golf professional, unlimited access to the driving range in practice areas and the ability to join the golf associations and to play in Club tournaments. For tennis players, the Vacation Member can use Dataw Island Club’s eight Har-Tru tennis courts and included is complementary half hour hitting lesson with the Club tennis professional.

The new vacation member can use the two croquet lawns and croquet equipment, as well as, the outdoor and indoor swimming pools at Dataw Island. Of course, the new vacation members will have dining privileges at all club dining facilities and right to use to the community fitness center.

“In this economic climate many future members, wish they could be here permanently however at this point in time they need to settle for several vacations here during the year.” said David Warren, Director of Marketing “this membership category allows them the privileges of being a member and the ability to get to know and enjoy the club and the members before moving to Dataw.”

The Dataw Vacation Membership program has a $1500.00 one time initiation fee and the annual dues are also $1500.00.
