I was born in Statesboro, Georgia.  When I was four years old I packed up my tricycle and wagon and moved to Beaufort, South Carolina.  I didn’t know it then, but this is where the imprint of the Beaufort Lowcountry started on my heart and soul.  The Whale Branch River, upper Broad river, and the woods of upper northern Beaufort County was my playground.  I went through the Beaufort Country school system where I met and married my high school sweetheart.  We have three girls who are out and on their own.  We are very proud of them and their families.

After school my wife and I were married in Novato, CA while in the Air Force.  The next three years were spent in Beaufort where I was a State Trooper.  Air Traffic Control was my next job.  We traveled to Atlanta, GA, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Panama Canal, and Palmdale, CA.  We then took a position with Raytheon Company where I started in production control and then into Project/Configuration and Data Management.  Our last 8 years were spent in New Orleans at the Northup Grumman ship yard where we were building the next generation expeditionary ships, one of which was the USS New York.  The keel was manufactured from the steel of the twin towers.

During this time we would always come back and visit Beaufort and marvel at the growth, yet still see the same charm and natural beauty.  Whenever we turned off of Hwy 17 onto Hwy 21 there was always a special feeling of belonging.

We retired in 2006 to Dataw Island and I started in real estate in April of 2007.  My off time is spent using the amenities at Dataw, exploring the waterways, or just having a quiet cup of java at the local coffee shop on the waterfront downtown.  All of this centered around the place we call home, Dataw Island.
